H5P part of Moodle core

Moodle announced today on their blog that as of Moodle 3.8 the popular H5P plugin will be included in the core code. If you are not familiar with H5P, then head over to their site (here) and check out the features.

The code freeze date for Moodle 3.8 was set for 7 October 2019, with the QA cycle set to start on the 14th October 2019.

If all tests during QA pass, then we can expect the release date for Moodle 3.8 to be on the 11 November 2019

Talking about the release of Moodle 3.8, checkout what else will be coming in this release:

  • Forum enhancements – ability to grade forum activities, updated UI and exporting of forum content
  • Updates to the Activity Chooser
  • Updates and new features to Learning Analytics
  • Setting activity due dates relative to a courses start date, end date and enrollment date
