This summer, the (by then) very sunny city of Helena will host MountainMoot —or how I like to call it, MoodleMoot on the Rocks—, but the anticipation has already started “for what is shaping up to be one of our best Moot’s yet“, as its official website claims.
MountainMoot, just like the other Moots around the world, brings together experts at the crossing between education and technology, with new ideas and experience-based insight. But from its own name, MountainMoot already defies the conventions. It establishes itself as more informal than other Moots, starting at the Lower Brewhouse, a “local institution” in craft beers and wine. A “5K fun run” takes place on Saturday morning. And throughout the event, games, challenges and scavenger hunts will award “moot bucks” to trade and gamble on a Friday night party.
Accommodations are offered on-campus at Carroll College’s Trinity Hall building at very affordable prices. Discounted rates are also available for attendants at the Best Western Great Northern Hotel.
MountainMoot 2017 will take place at Carroll College in the city of Helena, Montana, Friday and Saturday, July 7th-8th with a Pre-Moot on Thursday, July 6th.
Early Bird registration just ended. Access to the Conference Friday and Saturday (plus t-shirt) is US $180, and access to Pre-Moot Training on Thursday is US $100. Package for the whole deal is US $260. The conference will host an intimate 150 attendees.
