MoodleMoot Japan the annual EdTech conference by Moodle Association of Japan is scheduled from 17-19 February 2017 at the Jichi Medical University in Tochigi. This is the 9th year for the annual conference since its inception in 2008.

The annual Moodle conference is recognized among the very few Official MoodleMoot by Moodle HQ because of its great contribution to the Moodle community and promoting the use of Moodle in Japan. The theme for this year’s moot is:

“Active Learning: The Moodle Way”

The conference is dedicated to users, developers and administrators of the world’s most popular open-source course management system. During the conference, you can take part in workshops, presentations, and forums covering all aspects of integrating and using Moodle effectively in a learning environment.

The keynote speakers for the MoodleMoot Japan are announced as below:

  • Martin Dougiamas – Founder & CEO Moodle Project
  • Shigeru Hoyashita – Prof. Emeritus at Saga University, Japan, will speak about Active Learning using Moodle and Construction of Joint Use Hub for University ICT Education.
