From Moodlenews by Joseph Thibault
Here’s a masters-level course shared by Doug Holton of Utah State University titled “Advanced Instructional Design & E-Learning” (something every Moodle course designer might be interested in), the course focuses on providing students guidance as they create their own online classrooms in Moodle. The course is available for download from Moodle.net: http://hub.moodle.org/index.php?courseid=233&rss=1.
While originally created in 2011, the course features a robust curriculum for students which could be tailored to a self-paced or self-directed course (if you were interested in tackling it on your own). According to the Hub description,
Advanced instructional design course for masters students. Topics covered include e-learning, constructivism, problem-based learning, backward design, moodle, evaluation, multimedia…
I had a chance to restore the course, see the syllabus available here. Sadly during the restore I did have some trouble getting the quiz activities to restore (perhaps due to a system level category) and the original lecture videos hosted on Youtube are no longer available but the course resources and some activities are intact providing at least a collection of resources, readings and exercises that you could complete to get a better understanding of the topics covered in the syllabus.
